WARNING sits between DANGER and CAUTION
A WARNING sign says the hazard could kill or seriously injure someone. That covers most electrical equipment in service, most machine guarding and most stored-energy hazards. It is also the signal word most arc flash studies put on equipment labels. See our engraved arc flash labels.
Orange, cut in black
Our warning signs are orange phenolic with a black core. The header band, pictogram and text are all engraved, so there is no printed layer to fade or wipe off. That matters on MCCs and switchgear, where labels get cleaned, taped over and bumped.

Is a warning sign more serious than a caution sign?
Yes. WARNING means the hazard could cause death or serious injury. CAUTION is for minor or moderate injury.
Can you engrave arc flash warning labels?
Yes. We engrave arc flash labels with the values from your engineering study, or with blank fields you fill in on site. We do not calculate incident energy. That comes from the study.
