On the door
Most electrical room doors carry two things: what the room is and who is allowed in. A clear room ID plus an AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY sign does most of the work. If there is high voltage behind the door, add a DANGER sign with the voltage. Our electrical room sign checklist walks through the rest.
Inside the room
Keep-clear plates in front of panels and switchgear stop the room turning into storage. The Canadian Electrical Code has working-space rules for electrical equipment, so check the current edition for what applies. What signs go on an electrical room door?
Usually a room identification sign and an AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY or KEEP OUT sign, plus a DANGER or WARNING sign if there is high voltage or another serious hazard inside.
Do you make AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY signs?
Yes, in CAUTION yellow, NOTICE blue or DANGER red, in any size, with screw holes or adhesive.
